Clint Bearden


Judge Clint G. Bearden has served as a Superior Court Judge for the Northeastern Judicial Circuit since his appointment by Governor Nathan Deal in January, 2018. Previously, Bearden served as a Magistrate Judge of the Dawson County Magistrate Court and maintained a general law practice.

Judge Bearden received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. Additionally, Judge Bearden is a graduate of the Georgia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy, Leadership Dawson County, the Zell Miller Foundation Leadership Institute, and is currently participating in Leadership Hall County.

He is active member of Rotary, the Chambers of Commerce in Hall and Dawson Counties, and has served as a board member to the United Way of Dawson County and the Len Foote Hike Inn Lodge. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority, as appointed by the Governor of Georgia. Professionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia Bar Association, where he serves on the Long Range Planning Committee, and the Northeastern Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Judge Bearden is also involved with the Georgia Council of Accountability Court Judges and serves on various committees within the Council of Superior Court Judges.

Within the Northeastern Judicial Circuit, Judge Bearden presides over the Hall County Drug Treatment Accountability Court’s Early Intervention, Young Adult and Adult “Bravo” Track courts, one of the largest accountability court programs in the State of Georgia. He likewise presides over the circuit’s child support enforcement calendars, which ensure compliance and enforcement of monetary support orders for minor children, and provides referrals to the circuit’s Parental Accountability Court.

Judge Bearden is a lifelong resident of the Northeastern Judicial Circuit and graduated from Dawson County High School. He is married to Jamey Castleberry Bearden and they have four children.
