Beth Garmon joined the Hall County Planning Department in October 2016. As Senior Planner, Beth assists citizens and developers in understanding Hall County’s ordinances and policies pertaining to zoning and permitted land-use, as well as processing applications for various permits. She also provides guidance with rezoning, special use, and variance applications and prepares staff reports for the Planning Commission meetings.
Before joining Hall County, Beth worked as a landscape designer and project manager in the Gainesville and metro Atlanta areas. Her projects included both residential and commercial design, along with managing several larger park and garden installations for the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and City of Atlanta Parks Department. Beth earned a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia.
Beth and her husband, Eric, have 3 daughters.
