Sealed proposals from Contractors will be received by the Purchasing Division of the Hall County Board of Commissioners, at 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, until 2:00 P.M. legally prevailing time on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, for:
Demand Services for On-Call Masonry Contractors
Hall County Board of Commissioners is soliciting submissions requesting the following services to be performed on a task order basis by an On-Call Contractor providing Masonry Services for all aspects of the masonry trade, including but not limited to: the installation of concrete blocks in concrete masonry units (CMUs) ranging from 4”, 6”, 8” and 12”; reinforcing wire as required by the project Architect; installation of brick veneer, etc. for Hall County. Installation should be the highest quality and standard for the trade. The County is looking to have a pool of contractors that can perform these services on demand as task orders arise.
After the time and in a designated room and place, the names of the Companies submitting proposals will be publicly read. No further information will be read, discussed, or provided until the evaluation of all submittals is completed. No extension of the bidding period will be made other than by a formal written addendum to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Any proposals received after the date and time listed above will not be accepted.
Proposal submittal documents may be obtained by going to our Bids & Proposals website at http://www.hallcounty.org/Bids.aspx, then select the bid titled ‘Demand Services for On-Call Masonry Contractors’, click on ‘Request a Bid Package’, fill out the requested information, click ‘Submit’, and this will send an automatic request to our office. You may also contact us in the Purchasing Office at 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, or Phone 770-535-8270 or Fax 770-531-7112 to obtain the information at no charge. This is the only official release site for this RFQ or any addenda that may be issued for same.
Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis or individual site basis, whichever is in the best interest of the County. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time has been called on the date of opening.
A Bid Bond will not be required with proposal submission. Payment and Performance Bonds may be requested for future projects at the discretion of the County depending upon the size of the individual projects. The successful bidder shall provide insurance in the amount of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) as required by Paragraph 17 of the “Terms and Conditions” of these documents.
All administrative questions regarding the proposal should be directed in writing to Julie Dorough, Buyer, no later than 12:00 noon, May 20, 2022. All technical questions regarding the bid should be directed in writing to Larry West, Construction Management, . Answers will be provided to all firms in the form of a published addendum.
This written proposal documents supersede any verbal or written prior communications between the parties. The County reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and use any idea(s) in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. The Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or part, to waive technicalities and informalities or to select any bidder to complete the described Work. Award of Contract will not be solely based on low bid, but also on quality, references and other subjective criteria as the County may deem necessary and as the County may determine at its sole discretion. The Undersigned Bidder expressly understands that his proposal may be rejected by the County for any reason without liability on part of the County to the Undersigned Bidder.
