A pre-bid meeting was held on the Georgia Mountain Food Bank on September 8, 2021 at 10 am. The following questions are from this meeting.
Q1. Will an as-built survey (boundary and topo) be provided to the awarded firm?
Q2. Will a previous/existing hydrology report be provided?
Q3. How many parking spaces do you need for the new parking area?
A3. We thought the architect would tell us how many would fit.
Q4. Will there be any exterior or wayfinding signage in our scope of work?
Q5. Do you desire lighting in the remote parking lot?
Q6. Are there sustainability standards required by Hall County, Regional Commission or the CBDG?
Q7. Are any hazardous materials present on the building or parking lot expansion site?
Q8. Will the new freezer be a prefabricated unit to be installed under a separate contract?
Q9. Since the time frame is so short, will the design fee for preparation of the schematic drawings and estimates for the grant package be funded outside of the grant to the awarded firm?
A9. The PAR fee is paid for up front of being awarded a grant and is not reimbursable from the grant. It is a cost associated with grant application preparation. This would be a fee that is generally billed at the time the PAR is delivered and accepted. So, I would say that the answer to this question is Yes.
If you requested a copy of the bid package and are not interested in this bid, please send back a “no bid” response. This will keep your vendor status active for future bids.
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
