My vehicle was impounded by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, what steps must I take to have the vehicle returned?
Depending upon the situation in which the vehicle was impounded there are several avenues. If the vehicle was seized for evidentiary purposes, the prosecuting agency, (the Hall County District Attorney's Office, the Hall County Solicitors Office, or The United States District Attorney's Office) will make the decision to release the vehicle. If the vehicle was impounded and seized for forfeiture purposes, the vehicle must be held until the matter is settled by the courts. If the vehicle is stored at a private towing company the owner will be responsible to the towing company for any fees incurred.
