Driving into Gainesville via Atlanta highway from the bridge all the way to jesse jewel needs to be cleaned up this is an eye sore for our city.Come on folks this is not Mexico and we should not be portrayed as such.I remember a time when Atlanta Highway was nice and neat homes an lawns were kept up and the businesses were clean and a person wanted to do business in the area,not anymore I myself avoid that area.It's nice to have a variety of cultures here but we should not allow it to disfigure our community.If you are going to live here and have a business then one should be made to keep it nice neat and inviting.

Just recently, the starting annual salary of a police officer just jumped about $5,000 to a little over $40,000. The firefighters and paramedics deserve a raise in order for them to have a reason to stay at Hall County. Hall County has the lowest retention rate in history of the fire department. It’s sad and what’s even worse, the administration has targeted a lot of their own people in operations to be terminated by humiliation, harassment, bullying, etc. I’m glad you terminated former Chief Hood. He was a sadistic, alcoholic leader who still has left behind a big mess to clean up. I suggest you hire a motivated individual from a high volume fire service that has the qualifications that you may in fact make it known that they are VETTED this time instead of taking the word of former politician/deputy chief Black’s word. Arnold is not the person to lead the department either. There is no one that is in administration at the fire department worthy of the title of Fire Chief.
