The Georgia Department of Revenue is now allowing property owners the chance to appeal their property assessments through August 27, an extension provided via statewide judicial order.
Hall County has already submitted its tax digest and received the subsequent collection order from the Department of Revenue for the fiscal year, meaning Hall County’s operations, which are grandfathered in, will not be impacted as it relates to the mailing of property tax bills later this year.
"Due to the pandemic, we continue to encourage anyone appealing a property assessment to do so electronically. Instructions for using this convenient option can be found on the Hall County Tax Assessor’s webpage," said Steve Watson, Chief Appraiser (pictured).
Anyone with further questions may email the Tax Assessor’s Office at Assessors@HallCounty.org or call (770) 531-6720.
