Structural repairs have been completed ahead of schedule on Claude Parks Road, which was damaged in the recent flooding events.
The heavy rains severely damaged a culvert underneath the road. This resulted in a large void under the road and a slope failure.
"Thanks to the hard work of our on-call contractor, Griffin Brothers, along with a stretch of good weather, this project was completed well ahead of schedule," said Kevin McInturff, Hall County Engineer.
Crews removed the barriers and reopened the roadway on Thursday.
As a reminder, many Hall County facilities are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Citizens are reminded that many forms of business, including online payments, tag renewals and more can be conducted online. A list of contacts for specific departments is available, should residents have any questions about what business can or cannot be done via telephone, email or online.
