Three representatives from Hall County Government were honored Tuesday morning at the First Annual Masters of Safety Awards Ceremony & Forum at Featherbone Communiversity.
Hall County Board of Commissioners Chairman Richard V. Mecum, Hall County 911 Director Gail Lane and Battalion Chief Al Lovingood with Hall County Fire Services were among the eight individuals recognized for their commitment to safety initiatives and protocols, which build community trust.
“The Masters of Safety honorees are deserving individuals that work tirelessly to make Hall County a thriving, and safe, place to call home,“ said Bill Wittel, retired community volunteer and chair of the Masters of Safety Awards Ceremony. “It is important to recognize this group of leaders whose efforts are tremendous and directly affect every citizen in our community.”
Mecum, Lane and Lovingood were nominated by the highest ranks of their department, company or organization. Once names were submitted, the Masters of Safety nomination committee reviewed all nominees and selected the final award winners.
