Hall County Financial Services has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for Fiscal Year 2018. The designation, which the County has received for 27 consecutive years, is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
"This award is the reflection of the hard work put into our CAFR by County staff year-in and year-out," said Zach Propes, Hall County Financial Services Director.
"I would like to personally commend each individual who had a hand in this year's CAFR, which was once again a high quality product delivered in a timely fashion."
The CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.
