Beginning next week, motorists will be rerouted to avoid a railroad crossing closure near the intersection of Queen City Parkway and West Ridge Road.
According to officials with CSX Railroad, the crossing on West Ridge Road north of Queen City will be blocked off beginning Feb. 18 for repair work. Motorists are advised to take Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to E.E. Butler Parkway as a detour.
“This is a very busy intersection with a Racetrack convenience store and Builders Source store south of the crossing and many more businesses and homes north of the crossing,” said Ken Rearden, director of Hall County Public Works.
