In an effort to give the public a glimpse into the lives of the men and women of Hall County's various public safety departments, Hall County has launched the "Hall About Public Safety" podcast.
The podcast, produced on a monthly basis, will cover both the light-hearted and the serious topics Hall County's public safety personnel face on a daily basis.
"There's often more than meets the eye when it comes to public safety, and it's important for the public to know that our personnel are more than just a badge," said Brian Stewart, Hall County Digital Media Specialist and host of the podcast.
For example, have you ever wondered what happens when firefighters roll up to the scene of a fire? Turns out there's more to it than just plugging in the hose and dousing the flames, as we learned in Episode 1.
"The podcast will allow the public to gain insight into our operations and what our thought processes are as we respond to incidents. That gives us a chance to explain why we do some of the things we do, even if they may seem a bit strange to the naked eye" said Zachary Brackett, Hall County Fire Services Public Information Officer.
Currently the podcast can be found on the Hall County Government's Soundcloud page, where it is linked to social media and the monthly county newsletter.
