Hall County Administrator Jock Connell announced Friday that Chris Armstrong has been selected as the chief of Hall County Fire Services.
“Chief Armstrong brings a wealth of experience, energy and leadership to Hall County,” Connell said. “I look forward to seeing his clear, innovative ideas come to life as he takes the helm of Hall County Fire Services and works alongside the dedicated men and women who dutifully serve our community day-in and day-out.”
Armstrong began his career in fire services in 1988 in Miramar, Fla., where he rose to the rank of Deputy Chief, a position he held for five years before being hired as chief of fire services for Littleton, Colo. in 2014.
“I look forward to establishing trust and credibility with the members of Hall County Fire Services as well as members of the Hall County community,” Armstrong said. “There is no career more rewarding than one in fire services, and I am honored for the opportunity to serve Hall County in this capacity.”
Interim Hall County Fire Chief Mark Arnold will continue to serve in an interim role prior to Armstrong’s first day on the job, which is scheduled for Oct. 29.
