Hall County Financial Services has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for Fiscal Year 2017. The designation, which the County has received for 26 consecutive years, is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
“The intentional and diligent efforts of all parties coming together to produce a high quality and timely CAFR speaks volumes for our organization,” Hall County Financial Services Director Zach Propes said. “I am honored for Hall County to receive this designation again, and I sincerely commend all those involved in our financial reporting process for their hard work and dedication.”
The CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.
