Hall County recently received a Wastewater Facility Gold Award from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) for their Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility.
The award is given based on a wastewater facility’s record keeping, monitoring and overall operations.
“Hall County’s Contract Operations staff, Clearwater Solutions, works tirelessly to ensure the Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility is operating at the highest level possible,” Hall County Public Works Director Ken Rearden said. “I’d like to congratulate them and our elected officials for their receipt of this award as it is a direct reflection of their dedication to excellence in this field.”
The Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility was constructed in 2004 to serve the southern portion of Hall County’s service area, including Sterling on the Lake and Reunion subdivisions.
The award will be officially presented at the GAWP Spring Conference and Expo in Jekyll Island next month.
