Pickleball is coming to a park near you!
“It’s played with a paddle and looks a little like tennis, a little like racquetball, and a little like ping pong,” said Becky Ruffner, marketing and public relations specialist for Hall County Parks & Leisure.
Hall County Parks & Leisure is launching the Pickleball program this spring with a free Pickleball clinic on Tuesday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to noon and on Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the North Hall Community Center, located at 4175 Nopone Road in Gainesville. Clinics will be instructed by Laurie Lee, USA Pickleball Association Ambassador for White County, Ga.
“Pickleball has become incredibly popular with people of all ages,” Ruffner said. “We think this will offer the community an incredible opportunity to come together and enjoy a fun recreational opportunity.”
Space is limited in the upcoming clinics, so registration is required. To register for one of the free clinics, please call 770-535-8280.
