Hall County Director of Planning Srikanth Yamala has recently been named to the Leadership Georgia Class of 2018.
Leadership Georgia is a prestigious 47-year old organization of emerging and diverse leaders from all walks of life throughout the state of Georgia. The 5,000+ alumni include a number of influential state and national leaders and truly lead Georgia’s businesses and communities. With a principal focus on “Rooted, Growing, and Leading,” the 2018 Class will visit five Georgia communities in a yearlong exchange of ideas and experiences about important issues affecting the state.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to participate in this prestigious program, and I am hopeful that Leadership Georgia will become part of my lifetime mission to make a positive difference in our community and our state,” said Yamala.
Yamala was hired as director of planning for Hall County Government in July 2012. He oversees daily activities and long-range initiatives of Planning and Zoning, Building Inspections, Business License, Geographic Information Systems, and the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization. He previously served as Hall County's senior transportation planner for three years and then transportation planning manager for four years.
