A new sampling of local artwork is now on display at the Hall County Government Center as part of the facility's second public art show of the year.
"We are honored, once again, to have such talented local artists entrust us with their works," said Richard Higgins, chairman of the Hall County Board of Commissioners. "Providing our citizens with access to quality art is yet another example of the way this facility is serving the community in a variety of ways."
A total of 23 pieces are located within the Browns Bridge Road facility. The galleries include oil still life paintings by featured artist Sharon Farkas. The third floor is home to three large-scale works by Nancy Barbosa. An assortment of works by local artists Nancy Hunt, James Tanner, Gregor Sebba, Carol Reidy, Nichole Dale, Betsi Burgess and Scott Rogers are on display on the government center's 4th floor.
The current artwork, which was submitted to and vetted by the Hall County Government Public Art Committee, will be on display for approximately six months. The pieces are available for viewing during normal operating hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and when the building is open outside of those normal operating hours for public meetings.
