Do you file plats? If so, changes are coming to the filing process in the state of Georgia.
Effective Jan. 1, 2017, all plats filed in Georgia must be filed electronically. Plats will no longer be accepted for filing in paper format.
The move to require the eFiling of plats was mandated with the passage of HB 1004 (§ 15-6-67) during the 2016 Georgia General Assembly legislative session.
The Georgia Superior Court Clerk’s Authority will accept plat documents for filing on behalf of Superior Court Clerks via their eFile portal. Filing and payment instructions can be found on their website at https://www.gsccca.org/learn/efiling-information/plat .
You may also use the public terminal in the Hall County Clerk of Court's office to file a plat in an electronic format on a CD or flash drive using its vendor, Xerox. Payment in office is by credit card only.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the eFile process, please contact the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority customer support at 1-800-304-5174 or help@gsccca.org.
