On Sunday, November 2, 2014 at approximately 11am, Hall County Patrol Deputies responded to the 3000 block of Barrett Rd. in reference to an alleged kidnapping. A 17 year old Hispanic female advised the deputies that she had been abducted while out jogging in the area of Barrett Rd and Truelove Rd. by a white male.
Hall County Investigators were notified of the allegations and responded to the residence of the victim. During the course of the investigation, investigators were able to determine that the female was physically placed inside the perpetrator’s vehicle and was taken to a residence in the area of Truelove Rd and Wood Creek Place. The male perpetrator took the female to the residence and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to escape her abductor and fled on foot to her residence, where 911 was notified.
Hall County Investigators were later able to determine the identity of the perpetrator and secured arrest warrants for 27 year old, Brandon Nix of Gainesville. Nix was charged with kidnapping, sexual battery, and aggravated sodomy. Nix is being held at the Hall County Jail with no bond and has waived his rights to a committal hearing.
