Christmas Bicycle Program

Santa Claus with children and bikes

The goal of the program is for every child possible to have something he or she can call their own on Christmas morning. What better than a brand new bicycle and a helmet? The Court Services Division partners with local churches, schools, CASA, and the Gateway House to establish contact with families that may have a need for this service, after which they are contacted and informed about the program. Finally, parents are given the option to either have the bicycle delivered to their homes or to make arrangements to pick up the bicycle themselves.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office Christmas Bicycle Program was established in 1997 by the deputies and staff of the Court Services Division as a community outreach activity. This program is funded by donations from Deputies, staff, Sheriff's Citizens Academy alumni, and donations from the community. Court Services personnel accept donations yearly and purchase as many bicycles as possible with these funds.
