Business License Division
About the Division
A Business License is required for any business physically based in unincorporated Hall County (NOT within any city limit) that provides a product or service in exchange for compensation, no matter how large or small the business, whether operated from your home or a commercial location. All licenses are issued on a calendar year basis and will always expire December 31st each year. Licenses must be renewed by January 1st of each year to remain active and valid. Renewal payments may be made online with a credit card. Please make checks payable to "Hall County Business License." A business license gives your business the legitimacy and stability needed to attract customers and investors. A licensed business may protect owners from certain liability, and it enables you to file your business taxes separate from your personal taxes. The Hall County Business License staff is happy to assist you in taking this important step in the life of your business.
If you want to inquire about general information on a specific business (i.e. if a business is licensed, or what the address is, etc), which is public record, you may call or visit the Business License Office.
