Citizens of Hall County,
As the nation's economic crisis continues, the effects are evident everywhere we look. This has certainly been true for us here in Hall County, with the FY2012 budget being the most challenging that I have seen during my tenure as your Sheriff. It is more important now than ever to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, and in recent weeks there has been a certain amount of misunderstanding, as well as some misinformation, regarding the Sheriff's Office budget. In light of this, and in an effort to provide transparency in government, I invite you to review the attached FY2012 budget documents. I believe that they demonstrate how your Sheriff's Office is dedicated to providing first-rate law enforcement services while being mindful of the economic times that we're in.
