In addition to the numerous county-maintained recycling centers, our area is fortunate to also have several private businesses that accept recyclable materials.

Auto batteries *State law requires battery retailers to accept old batteries. Most give credit on repurchase. Most scrap metal recyclers also accept auto batteries, or they can be taken to the Hall County Landfill, 1700 Oakbrook Drive, Gainesville; 770-531-6853, or the Recycling Center, 1008 Chestnut St. SE, Gainesville, GA 30501.
