Transportation referendum public meetings scheduled 5/30/2012 The Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization, the transportation planning arm of local government, is hosting a series of public meetings to discuss road projects included in the upcoming July 31 transportation voter referendum. The meetings will serve as an opportunity for the public to be educated on the project list and the Transportation Investment Act (TIA) process. All meetings are set for 5:30-7 PM, with the first 30 minutes devoted to allowing public to look at maps and documents related to TIA. A formal presentation will be given at 6 PM, which will last 30 minutes, and a question-and-answer session will follow.
