The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA) has announced that it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) who shot two horses last week in Lula.
“We were approached by an individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, but was concerned about the multiple horse shootings last week and offered a donation toward a reward,” says Rick Aiken, executive director of the HSNEGA.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident in which two horses were shot in Lula last Thursday on West County Line Road. One of the animals died from multiple gunshot wounds; another horse also was shot but survived. To date, no motive in the case has been determined.
Anyone with information related to the shootings is asked to contact Investigator Scott Lilly at the Hall County Sheriff's Office at 770-531-6879.
