Hall County residents are encouraged to attend public hearings on April 25 to learn about and comment on proposed changes to the Red Rabbit bus service. These changes include an increase in fares and the elimination and/or reconfiguration of one or more bus routes.

The Red Rabbit provides scheduled bus services throughout the City of Gainesville and parts of the City of Oakwood. Buses operate five days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. One-way admission is $1 for adults, $0.50 for children up to age 18, students, seniors age 60+, and persons with disabilities.
Hall Area Transit is a public transportation system that has served the City of Gainesville and Hall County since 1983 and is jointly operated by the city and county. Its mission is to provide efficient, effective and affordable public transportation that will allow riders to access jobs, retail shops, recreational facilities, medical/dental offices, social service agencies, government offices, and other important community sites.
