On January 18, 2012, Agents with the Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Nartcotics Squad (MANS) and the Gang Task Force, along with Officers from the Gainesville Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division, arrested 28 year-old Quincy Marquette Smith, of Gainesville, during the course of a drug investigation.
Agents arrested Smith without incident after executing a search warrant at his residence, 2129-A Martin Luther King Blvd.
During the course of the search, Agents seized approximately $1,400 worth of crack cocaine, less than one ounce of marijuana, digital scales, and a .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
Smith was booked in at the Hall County Jail, charged with Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana (misdemeanor), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Identification Number.
