SilverSneakers® fitness program comes to Mulberry Creek 11/20/2011 Hall County Parks and Leisure Services is proud to partner with the nation's leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults (65+). Mulberry Creek Community Center is now offering Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness Program. This program encourages physical activity, a healthy lifestyle and social interaction at no direct cost to the participant. Participants simply provide their SilverSneakers card at the center's front desk and then have access to the Fitness Center, SilverSneakers exercise classes or the indoor walking track. Many insurance companies participate in the program. Please stop by or call 770-965-7140 to set up an appointment to come see the facility and find out if you are eligible. The current class being offered at Mulberry Creek Community Center is SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement. This class encourages fun and movement through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Mulberry Creek Community Center will be offering facility tours, social and educational opportunities for program participants. The center is located at 4491 JM Turk Road and is open Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ®SilverSneakers is a registered mark of Healthways, Inc.
