On July 14th, 2011 at approximately 6:00 PM Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Dollar General store at 5270 Cleveland Highway to a report of shoplifting.
Upon arrival Deputies discovered that store personnel had observed two white females place store merchandise in their bag without paying for it. That merchandise, consisting of a tube of super glue, tweezers and cosmetic nails, with a total value of $4.50, was recovered from one of the subject’s purse and returned to the store.
Deputies arrested 26 year-old Candi Washburn and 36 year-old Mae Wade, both of Clermont, without incident. Both were booked into the Hall County Jail, charged with Theft by Shoplifting.
The incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Uniform Patrol Division.
