Five Arrested in Drug Raid 2/8/2011 On February 8, 2011, Agents with the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) and the Gang Task Force (GTF), assisted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, arrested five individuals during the course of a drug investigation search warrant at 1425 Brandon Place in Gainesville. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team conducted the initial entry into the premises to secure the occupants. Their assistance was requested because Agents recieved information prior to the warrant service that weapons were present inside the apartment and one or more of the occupants would likely be armed. During the course of the search, Agents located several baggies containing marijuana, scales, marijuana seeds, and one .32 caliber semi-automatic handgun. No one was injured during the course of the operation. All suspects were booked in at the Hall County Jail, charged as follows: Arrestee #1: Artemio Pacheco Barrera, 18, of Gainesville Charges: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 21 Years of Age Arrestee #2: James Gerald Ray Harris, 20, of Gainesville Charges: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 21 Years of Age Arrestee #3: Erick Rodriguez, 17, of Gainesville Charge: Possession of Marijuana (misdemeanor) Arrestee #4: Calvin Smith, 18, of Gainesville Charge: Enticing a Minor for Indecent Purposes Arrestee #5: Christian Ryan Shipp, 19, of Gainesville Charge: Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 21 Years of Age  Nixle Photos Press Releases Press Archives |
