An Office of the Georgia Department of Corrections
The mission of the Gainesville Probation Office, an office of the Georgia Department of Corrections, is to protect and serve the public by enforcing the orders of the court through effective community supervision of felony offenders. The professional staff of this office accomplish this mission through the supervision of over 2600 felony offenders and service to the Superior Courts of the Northeastern Judicial Circuit.
The Gainesville Day Reporting Center is a Georgia Department of Corrections facility serving the Northeastern Judicial Circuit. The mission of the Day Reporting Center is to provide opportunity for the participant to change criminal behavior through behavioral interventions as an alternative to incarceration. For felony offenders sentenced to this program, this will be achieved through close supervision, counseling, treatment and family/community interaction while enhancing public safety with the goal of redirecting offenders to productive and responsible living.
