What is the Difference Between the Clerk of Courts and the Clerk of Commission?


The Clerk of the Commission works with the Hall County Board of Commissioners. The clerk is present at all commission meetings and records Minutes. This office records and keeps all records of public meetings, retains county archive files and handles all public request of records related to the Board of Commissioners office.

The Clerk of Courts is an elected office and administers the proper registration and retention of official documents. Included are civil and criminal proceedings, adoption records, real estate and personal property transactions and various other vital records including the General Execution Docket, Trade Names, Limited/General Partnerships, Appeal Records and Notary Public.
