2 Commissioner Billy Powell, a Hall County native, is a commercial
realtor with Hokayem Company. With a degree in Industrial Engineering,
he is acutely aware of the need to incorporate process efficiencies
and service effectiveness in county government's day-to-day operations
and activities.
More than two decades of consulting and project-management experience
have made Commissioner Powell an adept problem solver. He welcomes
his constituents' ideas and concerns, and works with staff to implement
solutions.
As a member of Hall County Board of Commissioners, Mr. Powell is
active in ongoing SPLOST V infrastructure projects, including the
largest construction project ever undertaken in Hall County: a new
$54 million jail facility.
The Commissioner and his wife, Helen, are parents of daughters Carolyn
and Molly, and son Will . The Powells are active members
of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
