Environmental Management System (EvMS)
EnviroShare is a countywide environmental management system, which is a team-based approach to achieve important environmental improvements in Hall County. This voluntary network unites local governments, industries, nonprofits and citizens to lessen our impact on the environment, as well as improve operating efficiency and save money.
Mission:
Engaging our community and inspiring environmental action to create a greener footprint and healthier economy through research and education.
Vision:
Hall County, Georgia will be a model community where:
- Actively caring for the environment is second nature.
- Citizens, businesses and governments unite to put their passion for environmental issues into action.
- Environmental quality, economic development and community engagement intersect to achieve a higher quality of life.
- We have a clean and healthy environment free from pollution to air, water and land.
- We exceed expectations across all sustainability issues and proactively reduce our environmental impacts.

EnviroShare has been a business-helping-business approach to working on waste reduction since 1994, and this website still includes information about the materials X-Change and Recycling Services. EnviroShare's scope was enlarged in 2010 to take on the environmental management system, following the model of the first countywide EvMS in Bartow County.
Information and best practices are shared among partners at steering committee meetings. Progress toward environmental goals is tracked, so partners can learn from each other and document their success.

Whether you are a resident or business, new partners are always welcome in this effort to create a more sustainable future for Hall County. Contact Rick Foote, EnviroShare Coordinator, to get involved.
