Sarah McQuade joined the Hall County Planning Department in February 2014 and has worked in various positions including Senior Planner and Principal Planner. She currently holds the position of Planning Manager in which she facilitates the County’s Development Review process. In this role Sarah coordinates the efforts of multiple County departments and State agencies to ensure certain standards are met while bringing high quality residential and commercial development to the citizens of Hall County. Additionally, Sarah works closely with the Hall County Planning Commission; providing technical assistance to the board members and guiding applicants through the rezoning, special use, and variance applicant process.

Prior to beginning with Hall County, Sarah worked as a Regional Planner with the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission. In this role she assisted regional planning departments with community engagement, the implementation of Safe Routes to School programs, and the development of state mandated planning documents. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Masters in Environmental Planning and Design. Sarah is a member of the Georgia Association of Zoning Administrators (GAZA) and American Planning Association (APA).
