Hall County compactor sites accept the following recyclable materials:
Mixed paper
All of the following papers can be mixed and placed in the blue bins:
Newspapers, sales inserts, magazines, catalogs, office papers, file folders, index cards, white copy paper, colored copy paper, plain & window envelopes, phone books, corrugated cardboard (3 layers), paperboard (1 layer - cereal, cracker, pasta, frozen food, shoe boxes, etc.), soda/beer boxes, pizza boxes (no pizza, please)
Mixed Plastic/Metal Containers and Mixed Color Glass Food/Beverage Containers
There are only 2 separations required in the green bins:
Compartment 1 = Mixed Plastic/Metal Containers
Compartment 2 = Mixed Glass Food/Beverage Containers
All of the following can be mixed and placed in first (2 “port holes”) compartment:
• #1-7 plastic bottles and tubs empty, no lid. Such as any food or cleaning product plastic bottle or tub.
• Aluminum cans and foils.
• Steel or tin food cans and aerosol spray cans.
All of the following can be mixed and placed in second (1 “port hole”) compartment:
Mixed clear, green, brown and blue glass food and beverage containers (glass bottles and jars)
