Civil Division

Duties & Responsibilities
The Civil Division is responsible for filing and processing civil cases for Superior and State Courts. This division also manages appeal records and transcripts for Superior and State Court, the adoption docket, and the Business, Professional and Administrative Index. Other duties include:
  • Processing notary public commissions
  • Receiving trade name applications
  • Recording military discharges
  • Preparing and mailing of civil cost bills
  • Issuing of executions to be filed on the General Execution and Lien Docket
  • Faxing or mailing copies and certified copies to individuals or other agencies
